About the event
Join us on Wednesday, 11th June 2025, from 10:00 – 11:30 am for our FREE monthly walk – and this one's a buzzing beauty! We’ll be visiting the Shropshire Beekeepers Association’s Conduit Head site, a 1.5-acre haven of nature, wildlife, and some very busy bees.
This special outing includes a guided tour of the Conduit Head site, where wildflower meadows, an orchard of heritage fruit trees, a marshy pond, woodland, and a whole host of bird and bat boxes come together in perfect harmony. We’ll explore the site’s fascinating beekeeping setup, spot local wildlife (dragonflies, sticklebacks, owls, frogs, oh my!) and learn about the incredible water history that made this place such an important part of Shrewsbury’s past. Did someone say Queen Elizabeth I and cholera pipes? Yes. Yes, they did.
As a cherry on top, we’ll be treated to refreshments (tea, coffee, and probably honey-themed delights) and have the chance to visit…
