Henrhyd Falls Trail Guide: From the car park, pass through two wooden swing gates and follow the gravel path as it descends into the woods. After crossing a small wooden footbridge and climbing a set of wooden steps, follow the path for approximately 300 meters until you reach the waterfall. Stand directly in front of the falls, around 10 meters above its base, and consider venturing behind the cascade for a truly immersive experience. While there might not be a hidden Batcave, the sheer power of the falls is awe-inspiring—just be sure to pack waterproofs if there's been heavy rain. For the adventurous, a dip in the plunge pool below is an option.

The Dark Knight Rises Connection: Film enthusiasts will be delighted to learn that Henrhyd Falls served as a filming location for The Dark Knight Rises, the epic conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. The waterfall doubled as the exterior of the iconic 'Batcave,' and keen-eyed visitors can spot scenes featuring actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt gazing toward the majestic falls.
Optional Extension down Nant Lech Valley: If you have time you can make a walk of your visit to Henrhyd Falls. Cross back over the bridge and turn right to follow the path along the river down the valley. You'll reach some smaller falls you can enjoy before turning around and heading back the way you came to the car park.
